Premier's story is closely woven into the story of Trivandrum. For over 75 years, we've grown alongside the city and the people who shape it.
Where it all began
Our story began in 1950, before Kerala became a state and before Trivandrum became the capital city it is today. Founder Shri Ananthaswamy recognised the needs of a growing city and established Premier to serve its schools, hospitals, businesses and government institutions.
What began as a 100 sq.ft. neighbourhood store has grown into South India's largest stationery destination, serving generations across the city for over 75 years while remaining proudly rooted in Trivandrum.

Growing with the capital
As Thiruvananthapuram grew into a thriving capital, Premier expanded alongside it, becoming a trusted supplier for schools, businesses, and government institutions.
1980s-90s
Building lasting relationships
Premier became the preferred stationery partner for many of Kerala's leading organisations, educational institutions, and public-sector enterprises.
2000s
The superstore era
The flagship store expanded into a stationery superstore, bringing together over 10,000 products across writing, office, art, craft, and gifting from more than 200 trusted brands.
2010s
Growing across the city
New stores at Kesavadasapuram and Technopark brought Premier's extensive range closer to more customers across Thiruvananthapuram.
Today
